On the Cooking Tour From The North To Center Of Vietnam, guests experience the cuisines of each region from Northern to Central Vietnam. At each stop, guests will enjoy regional favorites and street food while learning about Vietnam's history, culture, and scenery.
The adventure begins in Hanoi with a cookery tour that includes a market visit and authentic food preparation. A city sightseeing tour of Hanoi's sites and an eye-catching water puppets performance follow. The next stop on this culinary journey is the UNESCO World Heritage site Halong Bay. Here, rugged hills, the sea, and stunning caverns merge into breathtaking scenery. Furthermore, the seafood here is delicious and varied. Halong Bay has several amusement and engaging activities besides sightseeing. Halong Bay concludes Northern Vietnam before traveling to the center of Vietnam, Hue, Vietnam's ancient capital. Participants experience authentic Hue food and learn about the region's culture and history in Hue Cooking Class's Specialties Cooking Class. Travelers can shop for cooking-class ingredients in the Hue market. After the meal, the trip visits the Imperial City, a 17th-century royal complex based on feng shui. UNESCO gave the Imperial City a World Heritage Property. After Hue, the tour visits Da Nang and Hoi An. Da Nang, one of Vietnam's greatest living cities, attracts tourists with its beautiful nature and iconic architecture. Then, visiting Hoi An's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a well-preserved 15th–19th-century Southeast Asian trading port. During their stay in Hoi An, participants take a cooking class and explore the vibrant local market. After class, travelers eat their homemade meals. Visiting famous Hoi An attractions closes the excursion. After this enlightening excursion, guests will be able to comprehend the distinct cultural contrasts between Northern and Central Vietnam.

Itinerary

Arrive in Hanoi - Noi Bai International Airport. You will be met at the airport by your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel in downtown Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.
In the morning, you will enjoy cooking class "Food from Hanoi" which will start with tour to market, then come back to kitchen and do hands-on class with the guide of our Chefs. After finishing all dishes, you will enjoy what you have cooked.
In the afternoon we will see the Museum of Ethnology then we will attend a traditional Water Puppet show. This art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists – men and women – stand waist deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. The audience is meant to experience the atmosphere of a village festival. Then visit Hoan Kiem Lake (The Restored Sword Lake) and the Ngoc Son Temple, which is on an island in the northern part of the lake. We will enjoy a Cyclo tour along the narrow streets of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The Old Quarter includes 36 old streets with each name representative of the type of merchandise sold in it.

After breakfast, drive to Halong Bay (3 hours), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whoever comes to Vietnam should not miss the chance to visit Halong Bay, a picturesque blend of harmonious transition between the mountains and the sea.
The program will be changed depending on which cruise choosing.
Halong Bay is in the Bac Bo (Tonkin) Gulf and stretches over an area of 1,500 km2 with three thousand green islands that look like jewels. Upon arrival at the harbor, we will embark on a junk. We will enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on the boat while experiencing the majestic beauty of Halong Bay. The Junk is a wooden sailboat designed in a traditional Vietnamese style while offering a full range of modern amenities.
Visit the fascinating Dau Go Cave called “The Cave of Marvels” and Thien Cung Cave, the “Heavenly Palace Cave” surrounded by spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.
After dinner, enjoy fishing with local fishermen. The reflection of the limestone outcrops, the sight of fishing boats lit up in the darkness; enjoy these precious moments in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.

06.30-07.00: Welcome a new day with an amazing dawn on Bai Tu Long Bay. Refresh your body and soul with a Tai-chi session on the sundeck.
07.00-07.30: Catch the morning view of the seascape while enjoying breakfast with cookies and tea, at the café in the restaurant.
07.30-08.30: Visit Vung Vieng fishing village - the famous fishing farm by bamboo boat and discover the life of local people living on the surface of Halong Bay. (No swimming).
08.30-09.30: Pack up the luggage and check out of the cabin.
09.30-10.40: Enjoy brunch in the restaurant while cruising back to the tourist harbor.
11.00: Disembark from boat.
12.00: Your driver takes you back to Hanoi, then you will transfer to Noi Bai airport for a short flight to Hue
Overnight in Hue

In the morning, you will experience Hue Specialties Cooking Class with Hue Cooking Class to taste the real Hue local food, culture and history of the region. With no more secret at Hue Cooking Class, you can cook Hue dishes at home by yourself. Professional cooking class in Hue with a very friendly and helpful chef. Taste the soul of Hue cuisine. We pick you at your hotel and go to visit the Hue local market to buy ingredients for cooking, here you can see all fresh herbs, seafood area, butchers, fresh fruits. While you can take as many pictures as you want and learn about Vietnamese food culture and history. Our guide are always happy to explain to you anything you would love to know. After visiting local market we come back to the kitchen and prepare cooking then enjoy the food you cook

In the afternoon, we continue with a visit to the Imperial City, an impressive royal complex built in the 17th century based on the ancient feng shui practice of geomancy.  The Imperial City is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Overnight in Hue
08:00: Picking up at Hotel in  Hue and start to visit Ba Na Hills - King Mountain, also known as the second DaLat/ Sapa in Central. The beautiful weather here is always cool.
10:00: You will admire the high by the most modem cable car system in Southeast Asia. You will visit Dream Stream Cable car Station. After finishing the first cable car, you will visit France wine cellar, exploring the golden bridge (Winding its way around a 150-meter course lined with flowers, a golden bridge shimmers against the Ba Na Hills, supported by a pair of giant hands.). Linh Ung pagoda. You will see the panorama of Danang City.
11:00: Visit and play game at the Fantasy Park
13:00: Explore King Peak at an altitude 1.487m, you can see panorama view of the Hana Hills and Quang Nam - Da Nang on high. On the top of mountain have Linh Tu Pagoda that is a special temple construction.
15:00: Return Hoi An
Distance: Hue centre- Hoi An: 150 km => 3 hour transfer
In the morning you will join cooking class.
We start the day (8.15am) with a drink at Hai Scout Café.
Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge chef’s, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration).
After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.
In the late afternoon take a boat trip on the Coconut village to enjoy the sunset

Free time at leisure for last minute shopping before transferring to the airport for departure home

We had three lovely cooking classes with ERA staffs, who were very friendly and helpful! They showed us how to cook traditional Vietnamese meals. This was a phenomenal experience! A must-do when visiting Vietnam! I would come back and do it again.
