Dong Xam Silver Village is famous for its silver processing which has been practiced since the 17th century. The fame of Dong Xam Silver has spread not only in Vietnam but overseas. Silver handicrafts produced are exported to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Laos, Thailand, the Netherlands, and Spain. These silver products have an unusual style and appearance. The intricate decorations require delicate skills.
From here you’ll leave for Ha Long Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world’s largest marine limestone ‘karst’ landscape. On arrival, you’ll board a wooden junk to take you through the Bai Tu Long Bay area. You continue your cruise through the bay’s most deserted areas with opportunities to swim at quiet sandy beaches, weather permitting, or visit one of the least visited caves. For dinner, enjoy a cooking class on board and closely watch the talented chef craft fruit and vegetable to decorate the meal. You stay overnight on board.Morning alarm to practice Tai Chi and admire the sunrise. Coffee and biscuits on the junk. Continuation of the cruise to visit the caves and brunch on board before landing. Return by car to Ha Noi with a stop on the way to visit the pagoda of But Thap, one of the most beautiful pagodas in Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hanoi, check in the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart by car from Hanoi to Sapa. After about 5 hours, you will arrive at Sapa for check-in hotel.
Then we will trek around Sapa, about 12 km, to Lao Chai and Ta Van. These are Black H’Mong and Dzay ethnic villages. We will visit the people in their homes, visit schools and observe how they work the terraced rice fields surrounding the villages. The afternoon will be at leisure so you can explore Sapa for yourself the church of the Madonna del Rosario, the Sapa market, a lively meeting place for the various ethnic groups in the area and where the red Dzao and the black H'mong and the Kinh sell their products. Overnight in a hotel in Sapa.
Have breakfast in the hotel in the early morning. Transfer to Sapa and the walk starts from Sapa and goes through the beautiful gardens and lush pine forests uphill. You will then pass through the Black Hmong tribal village of Matra, a little village hiding away from the town. The walk continues passing rice-terraced fields and magnificent landscapes of the Sapa before lunch is served on the route to Ta Phin Village. In this village, you might be mesmerized by the unmixed cultural life of the Black Hmong and Red Dzao minorities, the 2 largest ethnic groups in the area, which are expressed via great stories told by the local elderly. Ta Phin - country of the Red Dzao to meet the locals and understand their traditional medicines. You are also given chances to visit some of the traditional houses here before returning to Sapa.
