O Quy Ho Pass

Sin Ho Plateau
About 60km from the center of Lai Chau city, Sin Ho plateau is at an altitude of over 1500m. Hand-carried piglets is a specialty of the Northwest highlands. Hand-carried piglets are processed into many delicious dishes such as steaming, baking, cooking fake civets, stewed, cooking soup ... Each dish is marinated and cooked with leaves and seeds bearing mountain flavor, bringing a strange feeling. , especially for first-time visitors.
If you have the opportunity to come to Phong Tho district, do not miss the goby with ash - a specialty of the Thai ethnic group. Goby is available in rivers and streams, after being caught, it is preliminarily processed and marinated with finely chopped spices such as lemongrass, chili, ginger, pepper, cocoons, basil, cuttings ... After marinating for about 15-30 minutes, the fish will be wrapped in the leaves and buried in hot ash, about 30 minutes, turn it over once, just like that a few times the fish will cook.
Pa Ping Top (grilled fish) is quite sophisticated, often used in meals when the family has guests. They choose fresh, whole carps to grill.
